Made in response to a 2 week residency at the Cyprus College of Art, Lemba, Lempa (2015) is an experimental film, exploring the site of Lemba, Cyprus. Having emerged through a fluid process discerning what is real and what is not, Lemba, Lempa offers a fictional time-space located within the manipulative compositioning of moving image. Commenting on what little substance modern forms of documentation can themselves hold, and the easily accessible nature of the internet - in particular youTube - the film acts in a positive and playful manner, to explore potentialities of material through re contextualisation. The technologies within filmmaking allows the viewer to transcend into the landscape of this 'other-worldly' location, where moving through the chapters 'Earth', 'Rocks' and 'Purple', animated rocks share their experiences with us.
